Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, I have a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and I’ve called Austin, Texas “home” for the last 20+ years.
I grew up in the suburbs of Houston in a family that owned a small business. I’ve seen first hand both the hard earned successes and stressful failures that come with that territory. I tried my own hand at entrepreneurship when I graduated UT. While I ultimately shuttered the business – I learned invaluable experiences along the way. One of which is that you should pick a business idea that you are passionate enough to balance the sleepless nights and long work hours.
After a brief stint selling wine to retailers (sounded much cooler than it turned out to be)…I’ve spent the bulk of my career working for a large technology company – in both sales and marketing roles. I’ve been both a coach and manager in several different teams and have always enjoyed the aspect of developing the team – which unfortunately doesn’t always get the time it deserves in Corporate America. Which brings me here….
My best moments are helping people find that “Aha” moment – whether in work or life. In almost every case, we already hold the answers inside of us – but need the time, space, and support to break them free. If you’d like to talk about how we can do that together – drop me a note.
